Transfer: Turkish club Eyüpspor sign Nigerian striker on two-year contract
Ahmed Abdullahi Signs with Eyüpspor in Turkish Super Lig
Former Flying Eagles striker Ahmed Abdullahi has finalized a transfer to Eyüpspor, a team in Turkey’s Super Lig.
Abdullahi joins Eyüpspor after a stint with Premier League club Sunderland. The 22-year-old signed a two-year contract, which includes the option for an additional year.
The Nigerian forward moved to Sunderland from Belgian club Gent in August 2024 but did not make any senior appearances for the Black Cats, primarily due to persistent injuries. Last season, he was named in Sunderland’s squads for Carabao Cup and FA Cup matches against Huddersfield Town and Port Vale.
Abdullahi will seek to rejuvenate his career at Eyüpspor.
