Two Suspected Armed Robbers Lynched in Warri
WARRI, Delta State — Two suspected armed robbers were killed by an angry mob at the Giwa-Amu junction along Airport Road on Wednesday. A third suspect reportedly managed to escape.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspects were operating in a commercial tricycle when they allegedly robbed a passenger of an iPhone 15. As they attempted to flee the scene, the victim raised an alarm, prompting nearby passers-by to pursue the suspects.
The mob apprehended the two suspects, who were subsequently beaten. They were then set ablaze, and the tricycle involved in the incident was also torched.
Police have not yet commented on the incident or confirmed the identities of the deceased suspects.
