Police arrest two suspected drug dealers in Delta, recover 132 sachets of tramadol

Two Arrested for Alleged Drug Dealing in Asaba
ASABA, Delta State — Police operatives from the Operation Delta Shield patrol team arrested two men suspected of drug dealing during a stop-and-search operation on Thursday along Nnebisi Road.
The suspects, identified as Hillary Osondu and Abubakar Bello, both 54 years old, were apprehended after officers discovered 132 sachets of tramadol in a vehicle they were traveling in. The Toyota Hiace bus, with registration number ZBL-549-XA, was intercepted as part of routine police operations.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe confirmed the details of the arrest in a statement provided to the Daily Post. He indicated that the suspects and the recovered drugs have been taken into custody, and an investigation is currently underway.
Police Commissioner Yemi Oyeniyi commended the patrol team for their quick action and encouraged all officers in the command to continue with proactive and intelligence-led policing efforts.
