‘Kicking APC Govt Out In 2027 Is Not Enough, I Need All Of Them Incarcerated’

Nigerian Singer Ycee Calls for Action Against APC Government

Nigerian artist Oludemilade Martin Alejo, known professionally as Ycee, has voiced strong sentiments regarding the future of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in Nigeria. In a post shared on Friday via X, he expressed that merely ousting the APC in the 2027 elections would not suffice.

Ycee articulated a desire for accountability, suggesting that politicians should face severe repercussions for their actions. He stated that he believes they should be publicly shamed and called for extreme measures against them, indicating a deep frustration with the current political climate.

“Personally, I don’t want this current administration just ousted in 2027. That’s not enough for me. I need them all publicly shamed and held accountable,” he said. “We should all share the highest level of anger towards the current crop of politicians in power.”

In his remarks, Ycee also criticized opposition parties, questioning their effectiveness and commitment to confronting the existing government. He expressed concern over potential election malpractices in the upcoming elections.

“There’s a sense of urgency. The opposition should already be mobilizing to address these issues,” he added.

The singer’s comments underscore a growing dissatisfaction among some Nigerians with the current administration and the political landscape as a whole.
