Actor Baba Johunomi battles cancer, advises fans not to ignore symptoms [VIDEO]

Nollywood Actor Musiliu Dasofunjo Discusses Prostate Cancer Diagnosis

Veteran Nollywood actor Musiliu Dasofunjo, widely known as Baba Johunomi, has addressed his ongoing struggle with prostate cancer in a recent video shared on Facebook by fellow actor Kunle Afod.

In the video, Johunomi emphasized the importance of awareness and early detection, urging the public to heed the signs of the disease. “It might not have gotten to this stage if I was aware of the symptoms earlier,” he said.

Johunomi recounted the initial indications of his condition, noting a concerning change in his urinary stream. “I was experiencing a splitting urine stream; my urine would spray in different directions instead of a single flow. But I didn’t take it seriously at first,” he stated.

As symptoms progressed, Johunomi faced difficulties with urination and was ultimately advised to seek medical attention. Following a series of tests and scans, he was referred to the University College Hospital in Ibadan, where a specialist suggested a surgical procedure to conduct further cancer testing.

Expressing his apprehension about the potential procedure, Johunomi remarked, “I can’t allow the doctor to cut some parts of my body to do an advanced cancer test.”

The actor hopes his experience will raise awareness about the rising incidence of cancer and encourage others to be vigilant about their health.
