Fabian Ruiz Expresses Aspiration for 2026 Ballon d’Or
PARIS — Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz has expressed his ambition to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or, football’s most prestigious individual award.
In an interview with Téléfoot, Ruiz stated that it would be “an honor” to claim the accolade. The 27-year-old has experienced a successful season, contributing to PSG’s triumphs in both Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League, as well as securing a World Cup title with the Spanish national team in North America.
“The Ballon d’Or? It’s a dream for any footballer. Why not this year? I dream of being as close as possible to lifting that trophy,” Ruiz said.
He added that while he has already achieved significant collective success with his clubs, winning several individual awards remains a notable aspiration.
