Davido’s associate, Ego ‘Tiny’ dies after penis enlargement procedure in Thailand
Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, a prominent associate of Nigerian musician Davido, has died due to complications following a cosmetic procedure in Thailand. The 43-year-old businessman, known as Ego, reportedly underwent a penis enlargement procedure at an unspecified clinic while vacationing with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, in March.
According to reports from TMZ, an inquest held at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court revealed that Ubiribo had 40 milliliters of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected during the procedure. Following the operation, he and his wife were staying at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok when he began experiencing chest pain and lost consciousness. He was taken to Sukhumvit Hospital after reportedly collapsing twice.
Danielle informed medical personnel about the filler injections, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be performed. He was subsequently moved to intensive care, where doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism, a blockage of blood vessels in the lungs.
Despite efforts that included more than 100 minutes of CPR from medical staff, Ubiribo was pronounced dead in the early hours of March 6. A postmortem examination in the UK indicated the presence of cellular material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure. Coroner Jean Harkin later determined that the cause of death was a pulmonary embolism resulting from the cosmetic surgery.
Ubiribo was known for flaunting his luxurious lifestyle on social media, particularly Instagram. His funeral in London featured a gold coffin valued at over $745,000.
During the service, Davido expressed disbelief at Ubiribo’s passing, describing it as a heavy loss. Fellow associate Cubana Chief Priest shared a tribute on social media, saying, “Rest Easy Brother @ego2222. Today London Stood Still For You Tiny, We Love You, We Celebrate You and We Will Never Forget You Brother.”
