Ballon d’Or: PSG make decision on Kvaratskhelia
Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly aiming to extend the contract of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia before the announcement of the Ballon d’Or next month.
Le Parisien reports that the club is seeking to finalize the agreement to prevent more complex negotiations in the event that Kvaratskhelia wins the prestigious award.
Discussions between Kvaratskhelia’s representatives and the Ligue 1 champions have been underway for several weeks and are said to be progressing favorably, with a potential agreement anticipated soon.
The proposed new contract is expected to run until 2030 or 2031 and would include a salary increase for the player.
Kvaratskhelia played a significant role in PSG’s success last season, helping the team secure both the Ligue 1 and Champions League titles. He is considered one of the frontrunners for the Ballon d’Or, which will be unveiled next month.
