WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup: Flamingos to begin campaign against Ghana

Nigeria’s Flamingos will commence their quest for victory at the 2026 WAFU B U-17 Girls Championship with a match against the Black Maidens of Ghana. This Group B contest is scheduled to take place at CKB Stadium on Wednesday, September 16.

In addition to Ghana, Nigeria will face Togo and Niger Republic in the group stage of the tournament. This event will also serve as the qualifying round for the 2027 U-17 Girls Africa Cup of Nations.

The championship is set to begin on Tuesday, September 15, and will be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire. The Flamingos are expected to travel to Cote d’Ivoire for the competition this weekend.
