Brentford achieved a remarkable milestone in their Premier League campaign with a decisive 3-0 victory over Chelsea at the Gtech Community Stadium. This win marks the team’s best start to a season in the top flight, now boasting nine points from their first five matches.
The Bees showcased a commanding performance in the second half, with goals from Jaidon Anthony, Igor Thiago, and Fabio Carvalho contributing to the emphatic win. Brentford’s unbeaten run continues, as they surpass their previous record of eight points from the initial five fixtures, which was set during the 2021-22 season.
“At half-time, [Coach Keith Andrews] just wanted us to increase the intensity and keep believing,” Anthony remarked after the match.
Anthony also expressed his gratitude toward Carvalho, who had predicted his goal a few days prior. “Fab told me I was going to score, so I’m really happy with that one. It was an unbelievable feeling,” he said.
