Ballon d’Or 2026: ‘We’ll see’ – Harry Kane responds to Yamal’s comments
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has addressed recent comments made by Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal regarding the 2026 Ballon d’Or. Yamal claimed that he and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe were the standout players of the previous season and asserted his belief that he deserves the prestigious award over Mbappe and other competitors.
Following Bayern Munich’s decisive 7-0 victory against Union Berlin on Friday, Kane emphasized the importance of individual expression when it comes to the Ballon d’Or.
“I don’t know how Yamal meant it. Everyone has the right to express themselves however they want,” Kane told Sky Sports. “Everyone is different.”
He added, “That is not up to me. I will keep doing my thing on the pitch, and then we will see what happens.”
