Turkey: Osimhen missing as Salah-inspired Trabzonspor thrash Galatasaray 4-0

Trabzonspor defeated Galatasaray 4-0 on Saturday, marking a disappointing outing for the Istanbul club. Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen was unable to return from injury for the match, despite training separately from his teammates earlier in the week, which raised expectations for his participation.

The standout performer of the match was Trabzonspor’s Mohamed Salah, who made an immediate impact by scoring a breakaway goal just four minutes into the game. Salah’s impressive 80-meter run set the tone for his team’s dominance.

Salah played a crucial role in two additional first-half goals. He assisted teammate Noah Saviolo with a precise pass across the penalty area, allowing Saviolo to finish a well-executed team play. Just before halftime, Salah found the net again, marking his sixth league goal of the season.

Salah completed his hat-trick with 10 minutes remaining in the match. The encounter took a contentious turn when Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk was sent off following a heated reaction to a decision from the officials.
