Troops involved in Operation FANSAN YAMMA rescued three wounded civilians on Friday following an engagement with suspected bandits along the Dampo-Rumba Road in the Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The operation was reported on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine, who detailed the troops’ swift response to the incident. They successfully assisted the injured individuals and secured the surrounding area.
In addition to the rescue, the troops recovered a total of 117 rustled cows, two donkeys, one goat, and five cow skins from suspected cattle rustlers in the nearby Magami region.
In a separate operation in the Tsafe Local Government Area, the troops also recovered a stolen Toyota Camry, believed to have been taken by criminals, as part of their ongoing efforts against banditry in the region.
