Ikorodu City secured a historic 2-0 victory over defending champions Rangers on Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos. This win marked the first league triumph for Ikorodu City against Rangers.

Midfielder Aderemi Adeoye opened the scoring for Ikorodu City with a well-placed free kick into the bottom corner just six minutes into the match. Ikechukwu Junior extended the lead in the second half with another expertly taken free kick.

Following the game, Ikorodu City goalkeeper Michael Atata emphasized the team’s focus and determination throughout the match. “Today was all about concentration, from the first minute to the end of the game.
