October 1: Carter Efe, Speed Darlington ready for celebrity boxing clash

Nigerian rapper and social media influencer Speed Darlington has issued a warning to comedian and content creator Carter Efe ahead of their upcoming celebrity boxing match. The two entertainers are set to meet on October 1, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Centre located in the Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island, Lagos. This bout is part of the “Chaos in the Ring” series.

With the date approaching, Speed Darlington has ramped up excitement for the event by making provocative comments directed at Efe. This upcoming fight will be Speed Darlington’s second foray into the celebrity boxing arena; he previously faced off against singer Portable in 2025, where he suffered a defeat.

Carter Efe, conversely, enters the ring following a successful bout against Portable in May 2026, which he won by unanimous decision. All three judges scored the match in favor of Efe, giving him a decisive 30-27 victory over Portable.

The rivalry between Efe and Speed Darlington has intensified, particularly during promotional activities leading up to the fight. At a recent press conference, both entertainers engaged in a heated confrontation that required intervention from security personnel.

The October 1 bout will mark the first time Speed Darlington and Carter Efe face each other in the boxing ring, following exchanges that have largely occurred through social media and promotional events.

In addition to the main event, the “Chaos in the Ring” series will feature other matches, including a WBO African Light Heavyweight Continental Championship clash between Nigeria’s Godday Appah and Ghana’s Seth “Freezy Macbones” Gyimah.
