Nigerian Barber Sets New Guinness World Record for Longest Professional Barbering Marathon
ABUJA, Nigeria — Joshua Babatunde Aiyenuro, a barber and small-scale entrepreneur, has achieved a Guinness World Record for the longest professional barbering marathon. Aiyenuro completed the remarkable feat this month in Abuja.
The marathon is seen as a demonstration of resilience and determination, marking a significant personal and professional milestone for Aiyenuro.
Reflecting on his journey, Aiyenuro shared that his upbringing in Lagos presented numerous challenges. However, he committed himself to honing his skills as a barber, which ultimately led to his recognition as the official barber for Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles.
“We’re creating pathways to prosperity, one cut at a time,” Aiyenuro stated, emphasizing his mission to empower young people and contribute to Nigeria’s development.
According to DAILY POST, Aiyenuro has received official certification from Guinness for his record-setting achievement. He joins the ranks of other notable Nigerians, including chef Hilda Baci, who have also earned Guinness World Records.
