Nations League: What I told Ronaldo after his clash with Jorge Jesus – Bruno Fernandes

Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes discussed his recent conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo following a conflict between Ronaldo and head coach Jorge Jesus.
Ronaldo departed the national team camp prior to their UEFA Nations League match against Denmark, following a decision by Jesus to keep him on the bench during the previous game against Croatia.
After Ronaldo’s exit, Fernandes was named captain of the squad.
In a statement addressing the issue, Fernandes emphasized the significance of Ronaldo to the team and the nation. “I spoke with Cristiano Ronaldo and told him that he is and will always remain the greatest icon of our national team and our country,” Fernandes said.
He also noted the importance of unity within the team. “Our national team is united, not divided. Matters must be resolved internally and conclude well for both parties,” he added.
