NPFL: Yusuf blames defensive errors for Shooting Stars’ defeat to Kun Khalifat
Shooting Stars technical adviser Salisu Yusuf criticized his team’s defense following their 2-0 defeat to Kun Khalifat on Sunday at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
Kun Khalifat secured the victory with goals from Agor Chukwuma and Onuoha Uchechukwu.
In his assessment of the match, Yusuf highlighted a lack of defensive cohesion among his players. “Our defense was poor, and that resulted in the loss,” he said. “We need to consider changes to the entire defensive line, as they are unable to provide effective protection.”
This season, Shooting Stars have struggled, posting just one win in eight matches.
