2028 Olympics Qualifier: Super Falcons want double win against Comoros

The Super Falcons carry a 2-0 lead into the second leg of their qualifying tie for the 2028 Olympic Games. The Nigerian women’s national football team secured their advantage with goals from defender Michelle Alozie and forward Kanu in the initial match.

Kanu expressed the team’s aspirations beyond merely qualifying for the Olympics. “We have a goal not just to make it to the Olympics, but also to look at the trophy,” she stated. “We have a good team; we’ve been preparing and performing well. We want to win, like the coach said, and score as many goals as possible.”

The second leg will be crucial as the Super Falcons aim to solidify their position in the competition.
