President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Abuja for Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah, an Islamic pilgrimage.
The President departed from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Thursday afternoon. The Umrah pilgrimage involves rituals of prayer and spiritual renewal in the holy city of Makkah.
According to a statement from the Presidency, the purpose of the trip is for spiritual reflection and prayers for the nation. During this period, Tinubu is expected to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and progress.

He is anticipated to return to Nigeria after completing the Umrah rites next week.
