Ambassador role: Fani-Kayode presents Letters of Credence in South Africa

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode formally presented his Letters of Credence to Clayson Monyela, Deputy Director-General of Public Diplomacy and Acting Chief of State Protocol, as Nigeria’s new ambassador to South Africa.

The presentation occurred on Friday at the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) in Pretoria. This development marks Fani-Kayode’s official entry into his diplomatic role.

Photographs from the meeting depict Fani-Kayode in a formal suit exchanging documents with Monyela at DIRCO’s headquarters.

“Today, I formally presented copies of my Letters of Credence to Ambassador Clayson Monyela at DIRCO in South Africa. To God be the glory,” Fani-Kayode stated.

Fani-Kayode previously served as Minister of Aviation under former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
