Ondo State Police Arrest Three Suspects in Cult Raid
The Ondo State Police Command conducted a raid in the Arakale area of Akure, leading to the arrest of three individuals suspected of cult-related activities.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Abayomi Jimoh, spokesperson for the command, confirmed the arrests in a statement issued on Sunday. During the operation, officers recovered weapons and illegal drugs.
Jimoh attributed the success of the raid to proactive policing efforts by the command, stating that measures would continue to be implemented to combat cult activities and other criminal behavior within the state.
The arrests occurred on February 10 at approximately 11 p.m., carried out by the Tactical Intelligence Responses Squad (TIRSz) following credible intelligence regarding cult activities in the vicinity.
