‘He edited his song to make it blow’ — VDM accuses Zlatan of exploiting feud

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has accused Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile of leveraging their public dispute to promote his music, alleging that the artist inserted a new verse into an already recorded song to gain attention.

VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM, claimed that Zlatan was affected by the support some of his critics showed for the singer, suggesting that the ongoing feud was being used as a publicity tactic for the track.

In a video shared online, VDM stated that the song had been completed prior to Zlatan’s decision to modify it to include the controversial verse. “As a matter of fact, they had recorded that song before; they edited it to add that verse so that it would get more attention, which I don’t mind,” VDM said.

While criticizing Zlatan’s actions, VDM acknowledged the artist’s musical ability and expressed his appreciation for his work. “Zlatan is a great artist; I love his songs,” he noted. However, he maintained that the ongoing controversy surrounding the late rapper Mohbad remains a significant reason for his disapproval of Zlatan. “That same Mohbad case makes me not like Zlatan,” he added.
