FA Cup: Brentford boss satisfied with performance of ex-Super Eagles star’s son, Furo in 1-0 win

Brentford manager Keith Andrews praised young forward Kaye Furo following his impressive debut in the team’s 1-0 victory over Macclesfield F.C. on Monday night.
Furo, the son of former Super Eagles player Iyenemi Furo, played a crucial role in the win. In the game’s 70th minute, he applied pressure on defender Sam Heathcote during an attempt to clear a cross from Aaron Hickey, resulting in an own goal.
After the match, Andrews expressed satisfaction with Furo’s adjustment to the team. “I really like what he is about. It was a tough game to come into, and I thought he did a really good job,” he stated, according to the club’s official website. Furo played 72 minutes before being substituted for Burkina Faso international Dango Ouattara as Brentford aimed to maintain their narrow lead.
Before joining Brentford from Club Brugge KV, Furo progressed through the Belgian club’s youth system and gained experience with the senior team. He made five league appearances for Club Brugge, scoring one goal, and also competed in the UEFA Champions League, where he faced Arsenal F.C. in a 3-0 defeat.
