Chelle will see through his contract – Top official
NFF Assures Support for Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle
Sherif Inuwa Ahlan, Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has confirmed that Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle will complete his contract with the organization. Chelle, who has approximately nine months remaining on his current contract, led the national team to a third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite ongoing interest from various countries and clubs in the former center-back, Ahlan expressed confidence that Chelle will fulfill his contractual obligations with the NFF. A source indicated to SCORENigeria that the chairman emphasized there is no reason to discuss the coach’s future at this time.
The Super Eagles are set to compete in a four-nation invitational tournament in Amman, Jordan, next month. In the tournament, they will face the host nation, Jordan, as well as Iran.
