Bandits Kill Three Members of Civilian Protection Group in Zamfara State
ZAMFARA, Nigeria — Armed bandits have reportedly killed three members of the Civilian Protection Group (CPG) during a recent attack in the Magamin Diddi District of Maradun Local Government Area.
Security expert Zagazola Makama disclosed the attack in a report shared on his official social media account on Monday. He indicated that the assailants engaged the CPG members in sporadic gunfire before fleeing the scene with the victims’ firearms.
The deceased have been identified as Nasiru Gaji, Jamilu Ibrahim, and Bashar Dan Inna. Their bodies were transferred to General Hospital Maradun for postmortem examinations and were later returned to their families for burial in accordance with Islamic customs.
The incident underscores ongoing security challenges in the region, where banditry remains a significant concern.
