Osimhen Outshines Drogba in UEFA Champions League Goals

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has officially surpassed his boyhood hero Didier Drogba in UEFA Champions League goals, according to reports from DAILY POST.

On Wednesday night, Osimhen played a pivotal role in helping Galatasaray advance to the Round of 16, defeating Juventus despite a 3-2 loss at the Juventus Stadium. His goal marked the team’s first tally in the match.

Despite the setback, Galatasaray progressed with a 7-5 aggregate victory. With this latest strike, Osimhen recorded his 16th goal in the Champions League, one more than Drogba, who has 15. This achievement places Osimhen second on the all-time scoring chart for African players in the competition.

Guinea international Serhou Guirassy, who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund, holds the record for most Champions League goals among African players, with a total of 18.
