Pastor Reverses Apology to Actress Amid Ongoing Controversy
Pastor Chris Okafor of the Mountain of Liberty and Miracle Ministry has retracted his previous apology to actress Doris Ogala regarding their reported years-long romantic relationship.
Last year, Ogala publicly accused Okafor of ending their eight-year relationship, during which they engaged in a sexual affair, despite promises of marriage. The dispute intensified when a video surfaced on social media showing the pastor with another woman.
Ogala subsequently demanded compensation and accused Okafor of misconduct. In response to the controversy, Okafor gave her $10,000; however, she rejected the amount, claiming it was insufficient compared to the evidence she possesses against him.
In a surprising turn, Okafor delivered an open apology to Ogala during a Sunday service, expressing remorse for any pain he may have caused her and other women. Despite this gesture, Ogala has continued to voice her grievances against him.
Recently, Okafor withdrew his apology, stating it was made under pressure from associates. In a video that has gained traction online, he referred to Ogala as “Jezebel” and announced his intention to pursue legal action.
“There’s no apology for what I didn’t do or for someone I haven’t met face to face,” Okafor said. He explained his initial apology was motivated by concerns for his fellow ministers, including Pastor Bishop Abioye and Matthew.
He added, “I knelt down because of those fathers. Not because of any Jezebel anywhere.”
In related news, Okafor’s second daughter, Amara, has indicated plans to press charges against him for allegations of assault and abuse.
