Eko Electricity Distribution Company Announces Scheduled Power Outage in Lekki District
LAGOS, Nigeria — The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has announced a planned three-day power outage in the Lekki District of Lagos from March 13 to March 15, 2026.
The temporary interruption is part of network upgrade efforts aimed at improving electricity supply to residents and businesses in Lekki and its surrounding areas. The outage will occur daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., during which electricity will not be available.
In a statement to customers, EKEDC highlighted that the disruption is essential for enhancing operational flexibility, improving power evacuation, and ultimately delivering better service.
“Dear Valued Customer, please be informed that there will be a scheduled three-day power outage at the Lekki Injection Substation,” the statement noted.
The company specifically identified Lekki and nearby communities as the affected areas.
EKEDC expressed its apologies for any inconvenience this interruption may cause and requested patience from customers during the upgrade process.
