BREAKING: Double explosion rocks Maiduguri
A double bomb attack in Maiduguri targeted the Monday Market and the gate of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) just after iftar on Monday, around 7:20 PM.
The incident was confirmed by Nahum Kenneth Daso, a spokesperson for the Borno State Police Command, through a post on social media platform X.
In his statement, Daso mentioned, “Following reports of a suspected explosion at Maiduguri Monday Market and UMTH gate at about 7:20 PM, joint security operatives and emergency responders have been deployed. The Police EOD Unit, Base 13 Maiduguri, is on the ground.”
