The suspects have been identified as Kolawole Suuti and Danjuma Samuel, both affiliated with the customs service.

“The investigation is ongoing, and we are examining every aspect of the case, including the actions of personnel present at the scene,” Ojelabi stated.

The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Anayo Azikwe Michael, a resident of Delta State. Ojelabi indicated that family members of the victim are en route to Osun to receive updates from authorities.

The customs operatives currently in custody have reported to police headquarters and will remain detained pending the investigation’s outcome. Ojelabi emphasized that the police officers present during the incident will also be subject to scrutiny as part of the effort to clarify the sequence of events.
