Chelsea Announces 27-Man Squad for Pre-Season Tour in Australia and Asia
Chelsea Football Club manager Xabi Alonso has confirmed a traveling squad of 27 players for the team’s pre-season tour of Australia and Asia. The squad will depart London for Sydney today.
The pre-season matches will kick off with Chelsea facing A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers at Accor Stadium on Tuesday, July 28. Following that, the team will compete against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, August 1, at the same venue.
After the matches in Australia, Chelsea will continue their tour in Hong Kong, where they are scheduled to meet Serie A team Juventus on Wednesday, August 5. The players will then move to Jakarta, Indonesia, to play against AC Milan at GBK Stadium Jakarta on Saturday, August 8.
The tour will conclude in Malaysia with a match against Johor Darul Ta’zim at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on Sunday, August 9.
