Bandits kidnap village head, four others in Katsina
Kogari Community in Katsina State Abducted in Night Raid
KOGARI, Katsina State — Suspected armed bandits attacked the Kogari community in the Matazu Local Government Area late Tuesday night, abducting five residents, including the village head.
The incident, confirmed by security analyst Bakatsine in a post on social media platform X, involved armed assailants who stormed the community and took the victims into the bush.
Among those abducted are Bello Abdulkadir Kogari, the village head, along with his wife, daughter, sister, and another woman from the area.
Residents expressed increasing fear as the attack adds to the ongoing issues of insecurity and recurrent kidnappings in parts of North-West Nigeria, according to Bakatsine.
