Cristiano Ronaldo: Apologise or risk being sacked – Rio Ferdinand tells Portugal coach Jesus

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has called on Portugal’s head coach, Jorge Jesus, to apologize to Cristiano Ronaldo or face potential dismissal from his post.
In a post on social media platform X, Ferdinand addressed the tension between Ronaldo and Jesus, emphasizing the necessity of an apology. “The coach has to come out and apologize… otherwise, he’s eventually going to get sacked. He has to say publicly, ‘Listen, I got this situation wrong,’” Ferdinand stated.
This statement comes in contrast to Jesus’s remarks in a post-match press conference following Portugal’s victory over Norway in the Nations League. Jesus asserted he had no need to apologize to anyone regarding the matter.
Ronaldo’s departure from the national team has been linked to a reported disagreement with Jesus over his playing time.
