EPL: Arsenal to make Arteta highest-paid manager

Arsenal Set to Finalize New Contract with Manager Mikel Arteta
Arsenal Football Club is poised to conclude negotiations for a new contract with manager Mikel Arteta, whose current agreement expires at the end of the upcoming season.
While no final agreement is expected until Arteta returns from his holiday, initial discussions have reportedly shown promising progress. Sources indicate that it is anticipated to be a matter of when, rather than if, the 44-year-old will extend his tenure with the club.
The BBC Sport reports that the proposed new contract would span three years and include a significant raise in salary. Arteta currently earns approximately £10 million per season, in addition to a further £5 million contingent on Champions League qualification.
If completed, the new deal would position Arteta as the highest-paid manager in England, especially following Pep Guardiola’s departure from Manchester City, where his contract was worth a minimum of £20 million annually. Arteta’s revised compensation would bring him closer to that level.
