EPL: Arteta reveals Saliba’s reaction to exclusion from Arsenal team photo
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta addressed the exclusion of defender William Saliba from the team’s official photo, stating that the player has no issues with the absence. The Premier League champions reported that Saliba missed the photo shoot due to a medical appointment.
Arteta explained the decision to proceed with the photo session without Saliba, citing logistical commitments. “We had some obligations and people who came to do that, so we decided to take the picture,” he said.
He added that the team plans to gather for another photograph that includes all members. “Hopefully, we can get them all together at some point, and we’ll announce that,” Arteta noted.
When asked about Saliba’s response to the situation, Arteta remarked, “It wasn’t in his hands. Willy is normally happy about everything. He knows how much he is loved. He was taking some banter from the players and he is completely fine.”
