EPL: Chelsea’s title hopes suffer huge blow after 3-0 defeat to Brentford

Chelsea’s aspirations for the Premier League title suffered a significant setback on Friday night as they were defeated 3-0 by Brentford at Gtech Community Stadium.

The Blues controlled much of the first half but were unable to convert their dominance into goals. After halftime, Brentford took the lead with Jaydon Anthony scoring from a header into an unguarded net, following a corner kick.

Despite Chelsea’s efforts to equalize, Brentford extended their lead when Kevin Schade’s shot was saved, allowing Igor Thiago to capitalize on the rebound and score.

The match concluded with Fabio Carvalho adding a third goal for Brentford, sealing the emphatic victory for the home side.
