Gov Nwifuru sacks Ebonyi Commissioner of Works

EBONYI STATE, Nigeria — Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has ordered the immediate dismissal of the Commissioner for Works, Stanley Lebechi Mbam. The decision was announced on Saturday in a statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor.

The Governor instructed Mbam to surrender all government property, including his official vehicle, to the Secretary to the State Government. Additionally, he has been directed to transfer his responsibilities to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works.

In his statement, Governor Nwifuru reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to effective governance and the enhancement of public infrastructure in the state.
