ABUJA — The All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted allegations that it has withdrawn the list of its Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 elections. The party labeled these claims as unfounded rumors.
Felix Morka, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, addressed the situation in a statement on Tuesday. He emphasized that any changes to the campaign council list would be formally announced by the party.
These clarifications come in response to circulating reports suggesting that the APC had rescinded the campaign council list, which was recently issued as part of the party’s preparations for the upcoming general elections.
In an interview with TheCable, Morka reiterated that the reports were baseless. “It’s rumor. If there is any change to the list, it will be formally announced,” he stated.
The APC’s campaign council list, which was unveiled earlier, is pivotal to President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign. The release has drawn mixed reactions from within the party, with some members expressing concerns over the inclusion or exclusion of various individuals.
