Kidnappers Identified After Rescue of Former Minister’s Sister and Her Sons

Police have identified the suspects involved in the kidnapping of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the sister of former Nigerian Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons. Adegoke and her children, Peter and Paul, were rescued alive on Saturday during a police operation.

The operation, executed by the Nigeria Police, resulted in a gun battle, during which two suspected kidnappers were killed. Authorities recovered two firearms from the scene.

Adegoke and her sons were abducted on Tuesday while she was taking them to school. Police officials stated that ongoing intelligence efforts, tracking, and strategic pressure on the suspects led to the confrontation and the eventual rescue of the victims.
