Kidnappers storm Oyo community, abduct one, injure another
Gunmen Abduct One in Oyo State
OYO, Nigeria — In a recent incident, suspected kidnappers abducted one individual in the Ago Aare area of Oyo State’s Oke Ogun geopolitical zone on Monday.
Witnesses report that the attackers, believed to be three in number, also left another person injured during the incident.
The victim has been identified as Wasiu Aleshinloye. The matter was confirmed by Olayinka Ayanlade, the Public Relations Officer for the Oyo State Police Command, who issued a statement on Tuesday detailing the events.
Ayanlade noted that the incident was reported to the Tede Division at approximately 10:20 PM on November 5, 2026. While the search for the abducted individual continues, police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
