The Spanish champions capitalized on Real Madrid’s 1-0 loss to Real Betis on Saturday, creating an opportunity to gain an early advantage in the title race.
Barcelona took full advantage of this chance, with Lamine Yamal scoring the opening goal in the sixth minute. Fermin Lopez extended the lead to 2-0 before halftime.
In the second half, goals from Raphinha, Pedri, and Yamal concluded the dominant performance as Barcelona overwhelmed Valencia at Mestalla Stadium.
After four matches, Barcelona now sits at 12 points, followed by Alaves with 10 points in second place. Real Madrid is in third place with nine points.
