Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Father in Adamawa State
A 40-year-old man has been arrested in Adamawa State on suspicion of murdering his father and disposing of the body in a well.
The Adamawa State Police Command identified the suspect as Peter Sinamai, a resident of Sangere in the Gombi Local Government Area. Police spokesperson SP Suleiman Nguroje confirmed the arrest, which occurred after law enforcement received a report regarding the incident.
Nguroje stated that preliminary investigations indicated Sinamai allegedly killed his father before placing the body in a nearby well.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Kabiru Umar Hassan, has ordered a comprehensive investigation to clarify the details surrounding the case.
“The corpse has been recovered and taken to the mortuary for an autopsy,” Nguroje added, assuring the public that the suspect would face charges in court following the conclusion of the investigation.
