Nigerian Army declares ‘Gentle The Yahoo’ wanted, offers N30m reward
The Nigerian Army has declared Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta, also known as “Gentle The Yahoo,” wanted under Operation Udoka. Authorities have announced a reward of 30 million naira for credible information leading to his arrest.
The Joint Task Force South-East issued a wanted notice, characterizing Okorienta as a significant threat to peace in the region. Citizens are encouraged to assist security agencies by providing information that could help locate him.
In a statement, the military urged residents to participate in efforts to reduce violence and criminal activity, emphasizing the slogan, “Give Peace a Chance.”
The notice further invited the public to relay any credible information to security authorities through the designated phone numbers, 193 or 0806 795 9570, assuring anonymity for those who choose to come forward. A photograph of Okorienta has been included in the wanted notice, which also displays the message: “No Violence, No Criminality in the South East.”
This announcement follows intensified security operations in the South-East aimed at individuals suspected of engaging in violent or criminal behaviors. Authorities have advised the public not to confront the suspect if sighted but to report any sightings immediately via the established communication channels.
