Nigerian Army Dismantles Terrorist Hideouts, Arrests Nine Suspected Informants
Taraba State, Nigeria — Nigerian Army troops have dismantled suspected terrorist hideouts in a military operation conducted in Karim Lamido Local Government Area. The raid, which took place on April 19 at approximately 11:45 a.m., led to the arrest of nine individuals believed to be informants for local terrorist activities.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the operation was executed by the 114 Battalion (Rear) stationed in Andamin, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters.
During the mission, military personnel targeted Jukun village, where they destroyed abandoned structures suspected of being utilized as hideouts by militants. Sources indicated that the operation was successful in both neutralizing potential threats and apprehending individuals associated with a notorious terrorist figure known locally as “Kadogo.”
Kadogo has been linked to ongoing violence in nearby regions, including Mashingin Kirya, Komodoro Garau, and parts of Plateau State. The nine suspects remain in military custody and are undergoing interrogation as investigations proceed into their possible connections to the larger criminal network.
