No one can alter election results in Gombe – Pantami

Gombe PDP Candidate Warns Against Election Manipulation
GOMBE, Nigeria — Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Gombe State, has issued a strong warning against any form of election rigging for the upcoming 2027 governorship election. His remarks came during a meeting with party members and supporters in Nafada and surrounding local government areas on Wednesday.
Speaking in Hausa, Pantami urged the Gombe State Government, led by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process as the campaign period approaches. He emphasized that the integrity of the vote is paramount, asserting, “No one has yet been born who can change our election results in Gombe State. Not this time around, the people will cast their votes, and it will count.”
Pantami stated that the PDP intends to concentrate on substantive issues during its campaign, steering clear of personal attacks or confrontations. He expressed confidence in the electorate, saying, “Gombe electorates are very wise now; they will not allow their votes to be wasted.”
He encouraged residents to stand firm and participate in the electoral process, casting their votes without apprehension. The PDP candidate further expressed determination to replace the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) through legitimate democratic channels, criticizing the current state government for failing to enhance the welfare of citizens and claiming that government contracts are disproportionately awarded.
Pantami concluded by thanking his supporters for their backing and urged them to sustain their enthusiasm as preparations for the 2027 general election continue.
