NPFL: Buter to face panel over referee remarks Wednesday
Sporting Lagos head coach Jeffrey Buter is scheduled to appear before the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) panel on Wednesday. According to reports from DAILY POST, Buter has been invited to clarify his allegations concerning potential collusion between NPFL management and the Nigeria Referees Association regarding the outcome of his team’s match against Ikorodu City.
The coach has been requested to provide supporting evidence for these claims, which he previously shared on various social media platforms. Should he fail to substantiate his allegations, Buter could face disciplinary measures from the league.
He is the first coach this season to be summoned by the NPFL following public criticism of match officials. The league administration recently issued a warning to coaches, emphasizing that such public statements could damage the league’s reputation.
