NPFL: Dare backs Enyimba rebuild after exit of key players

Enyimba goalkeeper Dede Dare expressed confidence in the team’s prospects for the upcoming season, despite a significant departure of players. The club, known as the People’s Elephant, saw many of its key athletes leave at the end of the previous season.
In response to the roster changes, the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions have signed new players to fill the gaps left by those who departed. Dare noted that successful team building depends on the commitment of players, stating, “If you have to force them to carry the bricks, they’re not the ones to build with,” according to the club’s media.
He added, “Simple as that, we move on with the ones who want to be here.”
Enyimba’s season opened with a 2-1 loss against Niger Tornadoes. The team will look to rebound in their next match against Shooting Stars in Aba.
