NPFL: Dogo blames missed chances for Niger Tornadoes defeat to Katsina United
Niger Tornadoes Technical Adviser Kabiru Dogo expressed disappointment over missed opportunities following his team’s narrow 1-0 loss to Katsina United on Saturday at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
Garba Abdulraman scored the decisive goal for Katsina United, leading to another challenging match for the Ikon Allah Boys. Dogo emphasized the need for improvement in converting scoring chances as the team prepares for future matches.
“This is what happens in football when you don’t take your chances,” Dogo said in a post-match interview. “They got their chance and utilized it, but we had even clearer opportunities and couldn’t convert any of them. Sometimes this can be attributed to bad luck, but we need to focus on improving, particularly in terms of capitalizing on our chances.”
Despite the defeat, Dogo acknowledged that both teams performed well throughout the match.
