NWFL: Whyte Ogbonda named new Rivers Angels coach
Whyte Ogbonda has been named the new head coach of Rivers Angels, a team in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL). He succeeds Tosan Blankson, who departed from the club following the conclusion of last season.
Ogbonda previously managed Rivers Angels during the 2023/24 season and most recently served as head coach of Bayelsa Queens. Under his leadership, Bayelsa Queens secured the NWFL title for the 2024/25 season.
Isaac Thomas Atonbere will assist Ogbonda in his new role, while Sunday Uduh has been appointed as the goalkeeper coach.
